With synths, beat machines, electric guitar and two-part vocals, UMME BLOCK create atmospheric dream pop full of energy on the TEDxMünchen stage. UMME BLOCK – the Munich duo consisting of Klara Rebers and Leoni Klinger – stands for electronic, handmade soundscapes that oscillate between melancholy and euphoria. The two have been friends since childhood and used to enjoy hanging out together late at night in Munich-Haidhausen (sie sind "umme block" gezogen) , which is how their band name came about. Their albums ‘25 HOURS’, ‘state of LIMBO’ and ‘NÄCHTE’ combine electronica, synth and dream pop with influences from DnB, hip hop, house and techno, exploring the multi-layered facets of human existence.
